Spec-Rom
What is "spec-rom"? Good question! It's my title for fiction where there is a romantic element combined with the speculative, in all its infinite diversity. For some, the word "romance" or even "romantic" conjures up the inevitable (and entirely incorrect) notion of the bodice-ripper, or incites the off-hand comment: "It's only Mills and Boon in space".
Spec-rom deals with relationships amid fantasy, science fiction, paranormal, horror or other "unworldly" places and as to why I like to write it, then my website link Fabled Towers might give an inkling.
